Within each five-year IUFRO Board period at least one IUFRO Regional Congress is held in a given region. IUFRO Regional Congresses aim to promote and strengthen science collaboration related to forests and trees within specific regions. The Chinese Academy of Forestry will organize the IUFRO Asia and Oceania Regional Congress in Beijing from 24-27 October 2016.
