This special issue presents a selection of the latest research findings from two decades of international collaboration between the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM), the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS), Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute Japan and Japanese universities. Submitted papers fall under three themes: distribution and ecology, survival and establishment, and growth and yield.
